Functieomschrijving
Main tasks & Responsibilities Project Buyer:
• Worldwide sourcing of materials, components and subcontractors for projects executed around the world. • Assist commercial dept. during tender phase by obtaining budget quotations and product information, compare quotations, check technical compliance. • Source, obtain quotations, negotiate and issue contracts to suppliers and subcontractors in order to meet the project requirements. • Liaise with internal departments (e.g. QA/QC, commercial, operations, legal) and sub- contractors/suppliers in order to achieve the technically best possible and economic most interesting solutions. • Processing purchase contracts/orders. • Meeting deadlines following the project- and purchase planning. • Seeking for optimum solutions and alternatives and give advice to internal clients with regard to cost-effectiveness of the required materials, components and subcontractors. • Processing feedback from the internal project organisation, by maintaining a vendor rating system. • Inspection and expediting of purchased materials and components to verify compliance with the technical requirements and agreed planning.
Functie eisen
Job requirements Project Buyer:
Education Technical (HTS or MTS), Nevi-1 and preferably Nevi-2 Experience experience in the shipbuilding or offshore industry preferred
Acting independently
The work will require the project buyer to act regularly on an individual basis, within clear recognisable boundaries, however in close cooperation with the project team.
